Special Student Relief (SSR)

SSR is the suspension of certain regulatory requirements by the secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for an F-1 student from parts of the world that are experiencing emergent circumstances. The requirements that may be suspended or altered include: duration of status, full course of study and employment eligibility.

Nova Ukraine

Nova Ukraine is a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness about Ukraine as well as providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine. See their refugee portal to find information and resources.

Department of Homeland Security

The Department of Homeland Security has information about all the options available to Ukrainians who wish to enter or stay in the United States to escape war. Details are provided about asylum, temporary protected status, US Refugee Admissions Program, and humanitarian parole.

English Learning

If you need practice speaking English, refer to ENGin, a non-profit organization that pairs Ukrainian youth with English speakers for free online conversation practice and cross cultural connection. They work with students ages 13 to 35.
